Its ingredients are 4 tazas de pulpa de mango (four cups of mango pulp), 3 tazas de leche o yogur (three cups of milk or yogurt), 6 cucharadas de azucar (six tablespoons of sugar), and una pizca de sal (a pinch of salt). This is just the ice cream part, but most Mexicans put a special sauce on it. It is called Para la Salsa. Its ingredients are 1 taza de pulpa de sapote negro pelado, (one peeled black sapote pulp), 2 cucharadas de licor de cafe y licor de mandarina (two tablespoons of coffee liqour and tangerine liqour), 1/2 taza de jugo de mandarina o naranja ( 1/2 cups of orange or tangerine juice). It is usually poured over the ice cream. The plant sapote is only found in Hawaii and is very rare. It is mainly eaten everywhere in Mexico. It is also mostly eaten in verano. The ice cream itself if easy to prepare, however the sauce or salsa is not. The main ingredient is only found in certain places like Hawaii. The ice cream's ingredients are easy to find at the grocery store, like milk, and mango. Although, you cannnot find the sapote. This dish is very exotic and very well known in Mexico.
